The Leachianus Gecko (Rhacodactylus leachianus), or "Leachie," is the largest gecko species in the world, and the Hi-White morph is its most prestigious color variant. While standard Leachies are masters of mossy green and bark-brown camouflage, the Hi-White line features massive, brilliant splashes of snowy white across the flanks and back. This high-contrast "blotch" patterning creates a striking, "painted" appearance that stands out against their velvet-like skin.
Known as the "Ghost of the Trees," Leachies are famous for their heavy, wrinkled bodies, small mossy-textured tails, and their surprisingly vocal nature—often making various chirps or barks at night. Despite their prehistoric, intimidating look, they are generally docile once they settle into their environment. Because they are long-lived (20+ years) and reach impressive sizes, a Hi-White Leachie isn't just a pet; it is a true legacy animal for any high-end reptile collection.
