Introduce a true fan-favorite micro-superstar to your canopy lineup: the Imitator Varadero Dart Frog (Ranitomeya imitator 'Varadero'). Also known in the hobby as the Jeberos morph, this thumbnail dart frog looks like it was custom-painted for an elite racing team. It boasts a brilliant, solid neon-orange head that sharply contrasts with a striking black-and-blue zebra-striped body, all sitting on top of bright turquoise-mesh legs. It is arguably one of the most colorful and visually complex frogs in the entire world.

The Varadero locale brings an electrifying, high-tempo vertical game to your arena. They are endlessly active climbers that absolutely thrive in tall setups packed with live climbing vines and bromeliads. Unlike some shy thumbnail species, Varaderos grow remarkably bold with age, frequently hanging out right on the leaves of your favorite plants, calling to their partners, and showing off their incredible high-contrast color blocks.

The Performance Stats:

  • Tri-Color Masterpiece: Features a jaw-dropping fusion of neon orange, deep black, and vivid turquoise-blue striping.
  • Elite Climbing Speed: Specially adapted for vertical hardscapes, utilizing every inch of high-elevation territory.
  • Highly Vocal & Bold: Males produce a pleasant, rhythmic buzzing call and remain highly visible throughout the upper layers of the tank.

Important Product Note: Because live animals feature entirely unique, organic patterning, your frog's exact color splitting and leg spots will vary slightly from the stock images shown. Adult tinctorius can become highly territorial; we recommend housing them as single pairs. In alignment with responsible husbandry, do not mix different locales or morphs of dart frogs within the same enclosure.
