Own one of the rarest, most visually distinct jewels of the amphibian world with the Oophaga histrionica "Blue". Sourced from the lowlands on the Pacific side of the Colombian Andes, this legendary morph is highly celebrated for being one of the only true "large obligates" in the entire herpetoculture hobby to exhibit brilliant, striking shades of blue.
The patterning on the "Blue" locale is a stunning display of natural variation—ranging from sleek blue bands and asymmetrical swirls to full stripes contrasting beautifully against a velvet black or dark brown body. As these frogs age, their darker juvenile coloration gradually gives way to an elegant, warmer bronze or beige background reticulation. Because large Oophaga are not prolific breeders and are classified as critically endangered in the wild, these legally imported, captive-bred specimens represent the absolute peak of sustainability and rarity for dedicated master-tier hobbyists.
